— Our Process
How It Works
Survey & Heat-loss Check
We visit to measure rooms, check pipe runs, inspect the existing boiler and assess output requirements (kW/BTU). This determines radiator size, style and valve specification so the new installation delivers the required heat.
Installation & Valve Fit
We strip out the old unit if needed, fit the new radiator, and install or replace valves — thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), lockshields or angled valves — ensuring solid pipe connections and correct flow/return orientation.
Bleed, Balance & Handover
We bleed trapped air, adjust lockshields to balance flow between radiators and test system temperature across rooms. You receive a clear handover with maintenance tips and certificate of work where applicable.
— Benefits
Why Choose us for Radiator Installation?
Experienced, standards-driven team
14 years of trade experience and NVQ-qualified operatives mean accurate sizing, neat pipework and finishing that suits period homes and new builds across Northamptonshire.
Accredited and trustworthy
Gas Safe registration and TrustATrader membership back our competence and compliance — work is completed to safety standards with accountable documentation.
Rapid, personalised service
A small two-person team ensures direct owner involvement, quick emergency callouts and consistent workmanship from survey to final balancing.
What we install: panel radiators for modern builds, classic column radiators for character properties, and chrome towel radiators for bathrooms. We size radiators to required output (kW), select the correct valve type — TRV for room temperature control or manual valves where preferred — and ensure the radiator sits level with tidy pipe runs and secure fixings.
Replacement, balancing and maintenance: Replacing a single cold radiator often exposes wider system issues. We don’t just swap fittings — we bleed trapped air, adjust lockshield valves to balance the entire system, and advise on further works if the boiler or system inhibitor is causing corrosion. For urgent leaks or failed radiators our 24/7 emergency cover gets you heated and safe without delay.
— FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
A standard radiator swap usually takes 1–3 hours depending on access, pipework complexity and whether valves are being replaced. Full-system jobs or multiple radiators will be scheduled and timed during the initial survey so you know what to expect.
